Travel Tips

A few travel habits I keep learning the long way: pack less, save the boring details before you need them, leave room in the day, and pay attention to what actually makes the trip feel good.

Pack a repeat uniform

Choose two or three outfits that layer well and repeat without fuss. It saves time, space and decision fatigue.

Plan around one anchor

Give each day one main plan, then let the rest stay flexible for food, weather, rest and surprises.

Screenshot essentials

Save maps, booking numbers, addresses and opening times before you need them. Internet access is never guaranteed.

Follow the food rhythm

Eat where the day naturally takes you: markets, bakeries, local lunch spots and small recommendations from people nearby.

Take fewer photos better

Shoot a wide view, a detail, a person or object for scale, and one image that captures the mood.

Keep a two-line journal

At night, write one line about what happened and one line about what it felt like. That is enough to remember.

A tiny field kit

  • Small crossbody bag or daypack.
  • Reusable water bottle.
  • Offline map area downloaded before leaving.
  • Power bank and short charging cable.
  • One scarf or light layer for weather changes.
  • Notes app or pocket notebook for quick memory capture.
